The most crucial characteristic that unites all human beings and joins them - in the Islamic conception - is the characteristic of "humanity," which is innate characteristic common to all people, no matter how different their doctrinal or intellectual doctrines and no matter how different their philosophical or political orientations may be.

We find this meaning in Quran and Sunna; first, in the Quran, God almighty said: "O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another" (49:13).

Second, in Sunna, the Prophet said: (O people, your Lord is one, and your father Adam is one. There is no favor of an Arab over a foreigner, nor a foreigner over an Arab, and neither white skin over black skin nor black skin over white skin, except by righteousness).

Hence, Islamic thought views the whole world as one society and people as brothers and citizens of one universal state who must meet among themselves and consult on issues that concern them to reach results that will improve their conditions and change their situations for the better.

This view, through which Islamic thought looks at the issue of humanity, "makes us move with complete clarity to an open society that seeks good from everyone for the benefit of all, and is not afraid of contacting various circles and various environments, and searching with them for what helps progress and development, improve the condition of human society, and rise Every effort we make in this regard for the sake of our country and our community is considered in Islamic thought as part of the general effort made by all humanity to achieve a better world.

Cooperation in morality and righteousness

Human citizenship requires us to move from a heartfelt feeling about the problem to thinking of creative solutions to it by being open to all valuable ideas and projects resulting from acquaintance among all human beings, cooperating with the various "living" groups in human society, and upgrading - then - to contributing Actual change by the hand the wrong and reprehensible conditions, represented in the unequal enjoyment of the necessities of life, and the implementation of the process of reform in the land, which is the primary purposes of existence, This, of course, requires proceeding according to a well-placed design based on what the Prophet called changing the evil by hand in his hadith in which he says: "Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand".

changing the evil by hand

what is meant by changing the evil by hand - referred to in the aforementioned Prophetic hadith - is not to use the "hand" in its apparent meaning; Rather, what is meant by the "entire" of human action is; In which man harnesses all his innate and acquired energies and potentials, and which depends - first of all - on modern human knowledge, and on designing plans and projects, then working to put them on the ground, to reach the desired goal.

Therefore, our human society cannot be changed from a bad state to a better state unless we have four conditions:

  • The first condition: is that we have the readiness to serve man.
  • The second condition: That we are equipped with correct and modern knowledge that enables us to carry out the process of change soundly.
  • The third condition is that we firmly believe in the human brotherhood that binds us to all people in different parts of the world.
  • The fourth condition: is that we have a sound knowledge of how to improve the human condition by benefiting from modern science, which not only enables us to treat diseases, ailments, deficiencies, and defects but also gives us the ability to prevent and avoid them as well; Because this modern scientific research opened the door to controlling what might happen, predicting it before it happened, and thus directing it towards achieving righteousness and benefit.

In this sense, Professor Al-Fassi, may God have mercy on him, says: "Every citizen has to believe in the social example, then study the best methods to achieve it, and thus he can think of the society in which he lives in a correct way that prepares him for his service."

The change we mean here - which is the transition from a bad state to a good condition - does not happen in a spontaneous and improvised way but rather is a process that requires initial design and planning based on tight psychological and social studies and based on the results of research that lasted for decades; "Because the idea of evolution, It was not taken as a spontaneous change, but rather it is accompanied by a feeling and an intention... Progress, then, is every action that everyone desires. Thus, it has become in man's ability to control the flow of accidents by setting methods and the ability to achieve them.

Changing the evil by hand, then, is a complex process of modern scientific knowledge of how to change an evil, designing plans and engineering projects based on the current situation, taking into account the position to be reached, and then carrying out the process of downloading programs on reality to achieve the desired change.

Thus, the three stages of restoring the lost balance to human life are completed; The stage of a heartfelt feeling of human brotherhood, and the duty of compassion with all people in different parts of the earth, and then opening an extensive discussion with them about the issues that trouble them, benefiting from the various ideas and projects, and finally working and implementing your plans and projects.
